Deputy Minister Nocawe Mafu and Deputy Minister Pinky Kekana to visit family of the late veteran News Broadcaster Linda Gqomfa

Department of Sport Arts and Culture lead by Deputy Minister Nocawe Mafu and Department of Communications and Digital Technologies lead by Deputy Minister Pinky Kekana send their heartfelt condolences to the family of veteran SABC news reader, Linda Gqomfa, relatives, colleagues and the community at large.

Both Departments further invite members of the media to join Deputy Ministers Nocawe Mafu and Pinky Kekana on their visit to the Gqomfa family in paying their respects.

Veteran news reader Linda Gqomfa passed away on Saturday after a short illness. She worked for both SABC TV and Umhlobo Wenene FM as Isixhosa news bulletin reader she further served as a communication officer for the South African Police Services (SAPS).

In showing their love and cherishing her memory, Deputy Ministers will visit GQOMFA family home with details as follows:

Date: Tuesday, 22 September 2020

Venue: Number 6 Katlagter Street, Birchacres

Time of Ministers Arrival: 13H45

Note that both Deputy Minister Nocawe Mafu and Deputy Minister Pinky Kekana will be available to speak to the media after paying their respects to the family.
